The brief
Owners had recently moved into a country property with a steeply sloping lawn, drainage issues, and an old tarmac driveway. They wanted level lawns, a patio with a view, and proper drainage solved before anything else.
Our approach
Full landscape design first. Then mini-digger groundwork — re-grading the lawn into two terraces with a stone retaining wall between them, installing French drains where the slope met the house, and excavating for a new patio platform with views over the valley.
The result
A garden that finally drains properly, two usable lawn levels for the family, and a stone patio that catches the evening sun. Nine-week project from design sign-off to handover.
